Director of Engineering - CoastAlaska

CoastAlaska, Inc. seeks a management team member to join our regional services staff as Director of Engineering to supervise engineers and maintain all aspects of radio broadcast engineering; including planning, installation, maintenance, repairs and compliance with FCC regulations.  

We are seeking a good humored, energetic person with great organizational and people skills, as well as significant experience in broadcast engineering.  Ideally, we are looking for someone who will enjoy working in an innovative public radio organization and bring strong verbal and written communication skills and a proven record in project-planning and implementation.  

CoastAlaska is a regional support organization for seven public radio stations in Southeast Alaska.  CoastAlaska provides administrative, financial, news, development and engineering services for the stations.  Southeast Alaska is scenically beautiful with abundant outdoors opportunities in a wet and mild maritime climate.   

Deadline:        Open until filled, with an initial screening on August 19, 2009.  Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. 

Salary:            Exempt, $45,000 to $60,000 annually, depending on experience, with a competitive benefit plan.
